| GREENWICH (Usa), 26.4.2013 – L’arte di Adriano Manocchia,noto pittore di Sporting Art e Maestro del realismo contemporaneo, è il soggetto di un nuovo libro d’arte dal titoloWater, Sky & Time (Acqua, cielo e tempo). Manocchia è ben noto tra i collezionisti per i suoi “waterscapes” (paesaggi con al centro le acque di fiumi, laghi e mari) e le sue nature morte. La sua passione per la pesca e la natura, sostenuta anche dalla passione della fotografia, lo ha portato ad esplorare prima le zone montane dell’Adirondacks e Catskills nel suo nativo stato di New York e poi località sempre più remote ed esotiche come le montagne rocciose del Colorado, la British Columbia in Canada, le Bahamas, i parchi dello Yellowstone e del Grand Teton, regioni italiane e varie contee inglesi. Attraverso immagini di scene di pesca sportiva e di golf, paesaggi, fauna e nature morte, Adriano è riuscito a trasmettere la magia della sua arte ai collezionisti di tutto il mondo. In questo libro da collezione che è una retrospettiva degli ultimi 30 anni della carriera artistica di Adriano documentata dai suoi dipinti più importanti, il processo creativo ci è svelato dalla moglie Teresa Schiavi Manocchia(originaria di Giulianova, in Provincia di Teramo, Italia; ndr), i cui numerosi saggi ed articoli sono stati pubblicati, nell’arco di trent’anni anni, in prestigiose pubblicazioni europee ed americane.
Personalità e critici del mondo artistico e sportivo hanno accolto con vero entusiasmo “Water, Sky & Time”. L’introduzione del libro è stata scritta da James R. Babb, direttore del Gray’s Sporting Journal, la prefazione da Chuck Weschler, editore e direttore della rivista Sporting Classics e il profilo biografico daJohn F. Apgar, direttore emerito di J.N. Bartfield Galleries. «Adriano dipinge scene archetipiche in colori magici – dice James Babb – Non gli accurati blu e neri e rossi e verdi, a cui un giornalista ricorre per descrivere la realtà che percepisce, ma colori più profondi, più puri, più selvaggi presenti nel nostro subconscio perchè realmente vissuti…E magia è esattamente quello che scopro studiando un dipinto di Adriano Manocchia». The art of realism Adriano Manocchia in his book “Water, Sky & Time”
GREENWICH (USA), 26.4.2013 – The Art of Adriano Manocchia, well-known painter of Sporting Art and Master of contemporary realism, is the subject of a new art book entitled Water, Sky & Time (Water, sky and time ). Manocchia is well known among collectors for his “waterscapes” (landscapes with at the center the waters of rivers, lakes and seas) and his still lifes. His passion for fishing and nature, supported also by the passion of photography, led him to explore first mountain areas dell’Adirondacks and Catskills in his native state of New York and then more and more remote and exotic places like the Rocky Mountains Colorado, British Columbia in Canada, the Bahamas, the parks of Yellowstone and Grand Teton, Italian regions and various English counties. Through images of scenes of fishing and golf, landscapes, wildlife and still lifes, Adriano was able to convey the magic of his art collectors from around the world.
